For those of you that didn’t know, I am a student of the very prestigious Radiography profession. Today, 8th November is World Radiography Day and its celebrated each year. The date marks the anniversary of the discovery of x-radiation by Wilhelm Roentgen in 1895.
Radiographers worldwide use this day to promote radiography as a career, as a vital contribution to modern healthcare and as a chance to increase public awareness of diagnostic imaging and radiation therapy.
Radiography has come a long way in carving a niche for itself as an indispensable part of the medical world especially in its ever growing significance to the core values of healthcare.
The modalities at our disposal include the conventional x-ray, fluoroscopy, Computed tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Mammography, Ultrasound etc which we use for diagnostic purposes. The profession also offers therapeutic services basically via radiotherapy.
We give
medicine an EYE….we make life BETTER.
