The Best Smart Phones In The World, 2013.

The year is already at it's end, so a review like this for all tecnology lovers is in place. This Review was done by BGR, the leading mobile and technology news source for breaking news, reviews, insights and opinions.. It couldn't have been by me,  afterall, what do i know about phones!

The best phones were selected based on the following categories

1.Best Design
Smartphones were sleeker and more stylish than ever in 2013 and there are a number of models from at least half a dozen vendors that were serious contenders in this category. Samsung’s Galaxy S4 is slim and light with a beautiful display, the BlackBerry Z10 is solid and has a great feel to it, and of course Apple’s iPhone 5s is among the most impressive smartphone designs we have ever seen.
But in the end, we went with the HTC One.

HTC really outdid itself with the One. The aluminum case is absolutely gorgeous and the convex back sits perfectly in the hand. Around front, the way the glass covering the screen spills over the sides of the phone and aligns perfectly with the chamfered bezel is masterful. And finally, the front-facing BoomSound speakers add to the look of the phone thanks to the micro-drilled aluminum covers, while also providing the best sound we’ve heard out of a smartphone.
We might have chosen the iPhone 5s but since it’s basically unchanged compared to Apple’s 2012 iPhone model, we went with a fresh face over the recycled design. And there’s no question — the HTC One is that fresh face.

2. Best Performance

Apple’s iPhone 5s is more than just a pretty face. With a dual-core processor clocked at just 1.3GHz, the 5s seems like it shouldn’t be able to compete with the many Android smartphones on the market with quad- and eight-core processors clocked at well over 2GHz. But as extensive testing performed by well-respected device reviewer Anand Lal Shimpi revealed, Apple’s latest iPhone doesn’t just keep up with flagship Android phones when it comes to performance, it slaughters them.

3. Best Display

Despite the stiff competition with iPhone5, G2 and HTC, Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3 emerged as winner.

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3 isn’t just the fastest-selling phablet of all time, it also just so happens to be the handset that touts the most gorgeous display Samsung has ever made.
This phone sports Ssmsung’s brightest Super AMOLED mobile display ever. Tests show that the panel is 55% brighter than the Galaxy Note II’s screen, and colors don’t appear exaggerated like they do on the Galaxy S4. The clarity is stunning, the contrast is equally impressive and all in all, it’s the best display we came across this year.

4. Best Fit and Finish
When it comes to refined and beautiful designs that extend from hardware to software and user experience, there is still no other company on the planet that can compete with Apple.

The iPhone 5s  (picture in number 2) with iOS 7 is the latest and likely the best example yet of Apple’s attention to detail. Every aspect of the phone’s design, both inside and out, is a reminder of how different Apple’s approach to smartphone design is compared to the company’s rivals.

Everything about the iPhone 5s hardware screams premium. The design is sleek and elegant, and there is no plastic to be found on the exterior of the device. Everything is either glass, metal or sapphire crystal.

5. Best Value
It was extremely difficult to pick a winner in some categories. This was not one of them.

Google’s Nexus 5 debuted in late October and while the phone itself wasn’t much of a surprise thanks to the months of leaks that preceded it, the price was. For just $349, consumers can buy a phone that rivals and in many cases bests handsets that cost nearly twice as much off contract.

6. Best Phablet
Unlike before, Supersized smartphones are now a huge part of the global market. In fact, smartphones that might have been considered phablets last year are now just standard handsets, and phablets have grown even more gargantuan than ever — the Nokia Lumia 1520 and HTC One max are two perfect examples of this trend.

But our pick for the best phablet of the year isn’t quite that massive.

The king of phablets was not dethroned in 2013, as the latest addition to Samsung’s Galaxy Note lineup remained the top supersized smartphone of the year. In fact, when we reviewed the Galaxy Note 3 back in October we said it was easily one of the best smartphones Samsung has ever made, period.
Not everyone likes the Note 3 but for our money, no other phablet on the planet offers as much unique and compelling functionality. Plus, it sports one of the most amazing smartphone displays we have ever seen.

Chai! S4 doesn't even rank at all o, to think that i had that in mind. *smh*
